The CAFS Portal is a web application designed to allow faculty and research personnel to manage information and service records in a convenient way. Currently, the faculty and the REPS service records are being handled via Excel, a spreadsheet program under the Microsoft Office suite.
Although this already provides a way to organize the data being gathered from personnel, managing many accounts would be difficult to do in the long run. By employing the help of a database management system, managing several accounts with different access rules and huge volumes of data will be easier and more organized.
